Nanotechnology patent
Wednesday, September 19th, 2007Honolulu-based Oceanit Laboratories Inc is filing a patent on nanotechnology concrete mix that creates stronger material for use in buildings, bridges and roads. Concrete carbon nanotubes are used to detect cracking and weaknesses in structures. The manufacturing process of this tubes includes suspended nanotubes in a liquid concentrate which is added to water used to make cement. This tubes improves the structural integrity of the constructions.
