*ISA(Indian Semiconductor Association) announced a scheme -Support International Patent Protection in Electronics and IT (SIP-EIT)-to support International patent Protection by SMEs and Technology Start up Units.
*Financial support: Up to 50% of the total patent cost. The support will be in form of reimbursement of expenses in actual to the applicant. Support will be limited to Rs.15 lakhs or 50% of the total expenses incurred on filing each invention whichever is less.

In all the brouhaha over the new iPhone and its features, one thing that’s particularly promising is that with the cellular carriers really focusing on data as a source of revenue growth, voice minutes are bound to get cheaper. If I understand it correctly, the iPhone voice minutes are not going to be priced higher than any other phone’s, but the data plan is more expensive.

The US Supreme Court applies what it calls the “doctrine of patent exhaustion” and says LG can’t go about suing everyone up and down the supply chain for patent infringement.

One of my friend suggested that Patent retriever is fast and simple database used to download patents.
